Elizabeth Bentley testified later that all communists were potential spies for the USSR. A brilliant book but disappointed I bought it on Kindle as illustrations were not available. Eddie who has appeared, and grown up, throughout the series is a quiet, protective and yet still wonderful leading man. All in all a good collection, but it needs to be handled like Grandma's china.. I also own "American Slavery, American Freedom" and "Love and Hate in Jamestown," but this one contains all the crucial facts found in those two books and more for its selected time frame. Several of the tales are engrossing and tense, but the one involving the altercation with the French Navy is a tickle, believe me. Thank you for the opportunity.. And shame on Amazon for promoting this rip-off.
