He has served as editor of the Journal of Broadcasting & Electronic Media and is the author of many journal articles and books, including the following: Media Effects,The 11 Myths of Media Violence, Becoming a Strategic Thinker: Developing Skills for Success, On Media Violence, Theory of Media Literacy: A Cognitive Approach, and How to Publish Your Communication Research (with Alison Alexander).
Like at least one other kindle edition, this book gives only the first 8 chapters. That second question makes for good book discussion moments, while the first question feels more like an afterthought. The strongest section of practical advice is on conflict, or "Fighting Fair" to use his language. One of Hookers greatest virtues as well as one of his greatest faults was his confidence in himself.
